Biography

Bélonie was born in 1849. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Theriault and Helene Pitre.

In the 1871 census Belonie (age 19), a farmer, was in New Bandon, Gloucester, New Brunswick. He was living in the household of his brother Charles and his family, along with his parents. [1]

Bélonie married Appoline Poirier (born; daughter of Joseph Edouard Poirier and Judith (Blanchard) Poirier) on 11 February 1878. Their children were:

  1. Patrice Theriault (1881–1968)
  2. Helene Theriault (1884–1956)

In the 1881 census Belonie (age 26), a farmer, and Appoline, (age 23) were recorded as married in New Bandon, New Brunswick. There were two children in the household, and Belonie's parents were living with them. [2]

In the 1891 census Belonie (age 38), a farmer, was the married head of household in New Bandon, Gloucester, New Brunswick, Canada.[3]

He passed away in 1935.
