Amos was born in 1848. He was the son of Harry Teets and Saby Wolfe. He passed away in 1900.

Amos Teets died at his home over on Muddy Creek last Friday morning from dropsy. The funeral took place on Saturday. The deceased was a brother of Mrs. E. L. Childs, of this place.

OBITUARY.
Amos Teets at his home near Valley Point departed this life Friday morning, Dec. 14, 1900; aged 52 years. He was a well known and respected citizen, and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was a kind father and a good neighbor, he was a member of the Dunkard church, and lived a consistent member until his death. During his sickness he was very patient; no one ever heard him murmur or complain. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Shultz, and the interment took place at Mount Marion cemetary [sic]. He leaves a wife two sons and two daughters to mourn their loss, besides a host of friends. One son and one daughter proceeds him to the better world.
