Jane (Teal) Bradbury was born in Holm House, Fountains Earth, Yorkshire, England.
Jane was born in 1823[2][3] at Holm House[1], Fountains Earth, Yorkshire[2][3] and was baptised at St Chad's church in Middlesmoor on 2 March 1823[1] with her twin brother, Layfield. She was the daughter of Amelia (Layfield)[1] and George Teal[1].
Jane (Teal) Bradbury is one of twins.

Jane married Thomas Bradbury on 29 November 1845 at Ripon Cathedral, Yorkshire. They had six children: Charles (1846 - 1925)[2], Amelia (1848 - 1931)[2][3], George Teal (1850 - 1898)[2][3], John Layfield (1853 - 1922)[3], Catharine (1856 - 1882)[3] and William (1859 - 1926))[3].

In 1851 the Bradbury family were living in Dacre. The family consisted of Thomas (head, 30, farmer of 20 acres), Jane (wife, 28), Charles (4), Amelia (2), George Teal (8 months) and Thomas's mother, Catherine (73)[2].
