Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources; find or merge duplicates; clean up GEDCOM or merged biographies; or interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Carla, I have been cross researching your tree to mine and I think our relation may be from your John Wesley Smith born 1845 in Georgia. My 2nd Great Grandfather was David Patman Smith b. 1859. He may have been related to John in some way. His father was Henry Smith. They were from the vicinity of Jackson County/Madison County GA.
This would explain why you had no shared DNA with Kenny since he is a paternal cousin and even with Roger since the Smith DNA would be mitochondrial DNA from our mother's side. I hope this helps you in your search.
We don't match on ancestry.com, but we both have Naillon in our ancestry. Mine became Nolan, yours became Nelon. I have quite a few matches on ancestry with Parker and Lackey surnames who I can't figure out how we match. Hoping I have found it!

I would need to know first names in order to make the connection for you. I have a couple of suggestions. I think you should be able to find Patrick Naillion/Nelon/ Nailon. Also Mary Jane Lakey. Feel free to email me to explore this further [email address removed] I could not find your user name on Ancestry. It may be set to private.
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.
It looks like LDS or Native Americans would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Your tags will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

I’m wondering if you can help me add my Dad’s DNA test back in. I added it previously, but it was removed when the European privacy law came into effect.
I have twice added it following the instructions, but t I must be doing something wrong.

I just stumbled across this community tonight. I would like to volunteer to help this community and share information. I can obtain a gedcom from ancestry, com that will be very messy (in terms of accuracy as it is all online sources! This is info I am exploring and I keep a much smaller and very accurate tree on a computer that is currently in another state and not accessible). Not sure how to clean it up before I post it?
