Biography

James Garnet Taylor was the son of William Henry Taylor and Evelyn Ellem. [1]

James saw service in WWII. Service number: NX21404 , enlisted at Barraba on 24 May 1940. Discharged 27 January 1942. Posting at Discharge, 2/17 BATTALION 7 DIVISION. He served in the Middle East.

He was a station hand and single. In the Middle East James was shot in the Right groin. He was returned to Australia and medically discharged.

In 1946 James married Muriel Margaret Baldwin in Barraba, NSW.[2]

James died in 1984.[3]
