Biography
Eliza was born on February 24, 1872[1] to George Taylor and Eliza Palfrey. Her birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1872 in the Lambeth district.[2]

In 1891 she was a servant in the hosuehold of William Savory in London while her sister and father lived in Bury St Edmunds.[4] Eliza (age 27) married Benjamin Freeman on February 15, 1900 in Battersea, London. She lived at 8 Brighton Terrace in Battersea Park and worked as a shoemaker.[5]
They moved to Somerset by 1911[6] and had at least one daughter. They then moved to Horsham, Sussex by 1939 and lived at Frederick House Monks Gate.[1] Eliza died a widow on January 30, 1957 at Red Oaks in Henfield, Sussex, and estate passed probate on March 4, 1957 in London to Harold Arthur Sharp, company secretary.[7] She has a headstone in St Andrew Churchyard in Horsham.[8]
