Biography

Lucy Tampin was born in Offton, Suffolk, England in 1802. She was the daughter of Sarah Tampion.^[1]

On 7th June 1824 she married John Mills in Lavenham, Suffolk, England. ^[2]

In 1841, Lucy was living with her husband, who is working as a Bricklayer's labourer, John's father and eight children in Lavenham, Suffolk, England. ^[3]

By 1851, Lucy and John have seven sons and two daughters, and are still living at 29 High Street in Lavenham, Suffolk, England.^[4]

In 1861, Lucy and John are living in Pump Square, Lavenham, Suffolk with six of their children, Marianne, Charles, Thomas, Frederick, Alfred and Emma.^[5]

In 1871, Lucy and John are living in Pump Alley, Lavenham, Suffolk with Mary Ann Woolard, their daughter and Emma Mills, a granddaughter.^[6]

In 1881, Lucy is found in Pump Court, Lavenham with Joseph and Polly Woolard.^[7]
