[1091] In 1861 William (age 34) is in Newcastle with wife Elizabeth (Smith, Aged 27) and children William, Mary and Margaret. Grandfather William Tait is living with the family.Next door is his sister jane and husband George Brooks.
When Elizabeth died, William returned to Chatham NB and married a French Canadian girl. They had two daughters. William and son William drowned. The first family returned to Calais, ME
[1093] 1900 census states she bore 12 children with 9 living.
