Death: Will and Estate Case of Huldah (Taft) Daniels:

In the name of God Amen. I Huldah Daniels (relect widow of David Daniels deceased) of Mendon in the County of Worcester & Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Gentlewoman, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind & memory, Do this Ninth day of December Anno que Domini 1794 and in the Eighteenth year of our American Independence ; make and ordain this my last will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say---

First and above all I would recommend my soul to God that gave it, and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor to be hereafter named, And touching such worldly Estate as God in his Providence, has lent me, I would dispose of as follows.

Imprimus I order my Debts funeral charge & Legacies to be paid and discharged faithfully (by my Executor) out of my Estate, in convenient time after my Decease.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Darious Daniels, five shillings.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son David Daniels, five shillings.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Moses Daniels, five shillings.

Item. I give and bequeath unto Clotilda Baker, my Daughter five shillings.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Six Daughters vizt. Ruth Stapels Molley Killey Cloe Davenport Hulda Death Marcy Williams deceased her ears & Matilda Gould all the remaining part of my Estate, both real & personal (which is not herein otherwise disposed of,) Six Daughters the hears of Marcy Williams to have ther Mothers Shear.

Finally, I constitute make and appoint my Son in Law Seth Iilley the Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness where of I have unto set my hand & seal the day & year above written.

Know all Men by these Presents, That we Darius Daniels yeoman David Daniels and according to Law ; Benjamin Pickering yeomen all of Mendon in the County of Worcester within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, are holdn and stand firmly bound and obliged unto Joseph Dorn Esq; Judge of the Probate of Wills, and granting Administrations within the County of Worcester, in the full Sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, lawful Money of said Commonwealth; to be paid unto the said Joseph Dorn, his Successors in the said Office, or Assigns : To the true Payment whereof, we do bind ourselves, and each of us, our and each of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally, for the whole and in the whole, firmly by these Presents, Sealed with our Seals. Dated the Second Day of July in the Year of our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine

The Condition of this present Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Darius Daniels Administrator with the Will annexed, of the Estate of Huldah Daniels late of Mendon in said County deceased do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits of the said Deceased, which have, or shall come to Hands, Possession or Knowledge of the said Admr. Or into the Hands and Possession of any Person or Persons for him; and the same, so made, do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Court of Probate for the Said County of Worcester at or before the Second Day of October next ensuing ; and the same Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits, and all other the Death, which at any Time after shall come into the Hands and Possession of the said Admr or into the Hands and Possession of any other Person or Persons for him, do well and truly administer And farther, do make, or cause to be made, a just and true Account of his said Administration upon Oath, at or before the second day of July which will be in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred – And all the Rest and Residue of the said Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators Account (the same being first examined and grntining Administrations within the County of Worcester, aforesaid) and shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively, as the said Judge or Judges, by his or their Decree or Sentence, pursuant to Law, shall limit and appoint : And if it shall hereafter appear, that any last Will and Testament was made by the said Deceased, and the Executor or Executors, therein named, do exhibit the same into the Court of Probate for the said County of Worcester, making Request to have it allowed and approved accordingly ; if the said Administrator within bounden, being thereunto required, do render and deliver the said Letter of Administration (Approbation of such Testament being fist had and made) into the said Court ; then the before written Obligation to be void and of none Effect, or else to abide and remain in full Force and Virtue.
