There is some documentation from an older daughter, Lucinda Jane (nee Miller) Ortman, that Mary Swick was either married to or had a daughter with Benjamin Miller in Fairfield, Butler County,Ohio sometime around 1832.

According to an 1850 census record for Richland Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, Mary Baker was living with her step-son William, aged 13, son Andrew, aged 9 and daughter Catherine, aged 7.

The 1850 census record also showed the following individuals living with Mary Baker, Martin Swick, aged 24, Wiley Swick, aged 20, and Wilson Corson, aged 24.

There is a youngest daughter named Catherine Baker, born about 1843,
