Biography

Harriet Caroline was born on the 5th July 1873^[1] at Yardley, Worcestershire or Small Heath (Birmingham), Warwickshire, England and baptised on the 31st August 1873 at St. Edburgha, Yardley, Worcestershire, England, the daughter of Robert Arthur Swayne (wine merchant) and Grace Pyke Swayne of Small Heath^[2].

On the 29th July 1897, Harriet Caroline married Harold Thomas Barnett at St. Michael, Upton Warren, Worcestershire, England^[3][4].

On the 29th July (1897), at St. Michaels, Upton Warren, a marriage was solemnised between Miss. Harriet Caroline, youngest daughter of Mr. R. A. Swayne J. P. of Abberley House, Bromsgrove, and Mr. Harold Thomas Barnett, of Furnival's Inn (Holborn, London), son of Mr. Thomas Barnett J. P., of Knighton Grange, Chichester. The officiating clergy were the Rev A. Barnett, brother of the bridegroom, and the Rev. W. A. Swayne, Vicar of St. Aidan's. Leeds, brother of the bride. On the bride entering the church, the hymn "Love Divine" was sung by an amateur choir led by Mrs. J. H. Milward and accompanied on the organ by Miss. Vincent....."^[3]

She passed away on the 15th June 1956 at 272 Wokingham Road, Reading, Berkshire, England^[5].
