Biography

Barbara Newbery Swalling (married name Rowe) was born on 24 October 1839 in Greenwich, Kent, England, daughter of Harriet (Eldridge) Swalling and William Swalling.[1]

She came to Australia in 1855 on the Samarang with her mother and siblings.[2]

She was married to Richard Rowe.

Barbara died on 28 September 1873 in Newstead, Victoria, Australia, aged 33 years.[3]
