Communication Preferences:
I am interested in communicating with
cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy.
My family tree is private but I want to collaborate on deep ancestors or historical figures.
Welcome to Team Massachusetts. For any -Thon, we strive to connect, clean, source, and generally improve profiles from Massachusetts. That doesn’t mean profiles from other places are excluded. Our primary goal is to improve any WT profile. Let’s have some fun this weekend adding lots of sources.
Hi Nina! Thanks for the message. I've been researching our family for many years but I'm new to WikiTree. I'm slowly learning and will update and clean things up as I can!
I was fortunate enough to connect with some Borgenicht cousins of ours who shared a wealth of information about that branch of the family with me.
My grandmother was Sophie's sister Emilia Kosienski, who married Robert Szymaszek.
Is it ok if I add some of the information I found to the pages about Andrew, Victoria, and their ancestors?
Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.
Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.
It's smart that you made one of the kits private! We do not have any common ancestors but we have a couple (albeit very small) connectors, probably cousins that married our relatives in same regions, in the People who match both kits, or 1 of 2 kits tool.
Hi Nina ~ I was working on one of my Irish brick walls in county Kerry and checking on GEDmatch and I realized that you need to add the letter prefix for your kit number ('T' for FTDNA, 'M' for 23andMe, 'A' for Ancestry.Com) on WikiTree so it will connect/link.
Where did you test? Don't forget to add the prefix(-:
Sounds like a plan for the merges. Let me know if you have any problems initiating them from your end and I can give it a try from mine if you do. Sometimes the system is picky about that. Pillian is new to me as well. There was a Pelham family in my neighborhood where I grew up in Milford but I never realized it was an Irish name.
I think we may want to consider reversing your proposed merges for Anni Pillian and Kerin Mulvee as i think you probably have the most appropriate LNABs on both of them. When we get the parents straightened out we can deal with Patrick. Let me know what you think and I can initiate the merges from the other direction if you agree.
Thanks,
Paul
