Taylor A Susong (43), farm laborer, veteran, and his wife, Mary M (32), owned real estate valued at $4000, equipped with a radio set, in household with their children, Wiltie C (9), Frank D (7), Sidney M (5), and Alexander C, 7 months old. Wiltie and Frank attended school within the census year. Taylor and Mary were able to read, write, and speak English and all in household were born in Tennessee.^[1]

Willie "Billie" S. Johnston, 88, of Victor Drive, Johnson City, formerly of Reed Avenue, died Saturday morning at Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City.

Mrs. Johnston retired as a bank teller from the former First National Bank.

She was a member of New Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Johnston was the widow of Allen Johnston.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Rhesa and Don Dykes of Johnson City; her grandchildren: Betsy Dykes and Allen Dykes, both of Johnson City; two brothers: Frank Susong and Charles Susong, both of Greeneville; a sister and brother-in-law: Marjorie and Homer Davenport of Greeneville; a brother-in-law: Edward Johnston of Greeneville; a sister-in-law: Ruth Johnston of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Taylor and Mary Quinn Susong.

Willie Clark Susong Johnston died 19 December 2009 and was buried at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery, Greeneville, Greene County, Tennessee.^[5][6]
