Biography

Samuel was born 12 April 1804, the son of David Suffolk and Jane Jones. He was probably born in Birmingham as that was where he was baptised.

His parents had Samuel and his sister Elizabeth both baptised at St Martin, Birmingham on the same day, 30 May 1806. In all 48 children were baptised at this church on this day, running over 2 pages of the baptism register! [1]
