Obituary

The Gospel Visitor, 1863

Died in the Miami church, Miami county, O, with the lockjaw,[2] having run a nail in his foot some days before, August 2, brother DAVID STUDEBAKER, aged 48 years, 9 months and 3 days. He was a worthy minister in the church and much beloved by the brethren who knew him, and much respected by his neighbors and friends. He was retired and unassuming in his manners, apparently esteeming others better than himself. He manifested much concern for the welfare of souls and for the peace and prosperity of the church. His death is much regretted by many, and he will be much missed in the field of his labors. He leaves a sorrowful family to mourn their loss, but so devoted was his life, and so peaceful his death, that they are not without hope of rejoining him again. The funeral services were performed by brethren H Brubaker and D Younce from Phil 3:10.
