Biography

He is buried with his wife in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Pylesville, Harford County, Maryland.

(2) Although Andrew J. and Mary (Cramer) Steward were enumerated in Drumore Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, both in 1870 and 1880, the death certificate for their son, Franklin J. Stewart, says that he was born in 1872 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania. A vague family story suggested that the family had spent some time in the Pennsylvania oil fields, with Andrew J. Steward possibly working as a teamster. While in 1870 and 1880, Andrew was listed as a laborer, in 1900 his occupation is listed as a teamster (2, 15)
