Hello Jeremy,

Congratulations on recertifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Jeremy,

It’s that time of year again! On behalf of the England Project, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve English profiles!

The England Project Leaders like to touch base with each of our members periodically to make sure everything is going well. This is our formal annual check-in with you.

Are you happy with your current project team choices? Would you like to join any other teams?

Also, we would really like to hear which team is currently your highest priority. If you are a member of more than one team, could you please rank them from highest priority to lowest? Thank you! If you don’t see yourself as being part of a team, please let us know.

We also welcome any feedback on things you would like to see the project do more of in the future.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message.

On behalf of all the Leaders, thank you again for all you do and we look forward to you continuing to be a part of our collaborative and fun Project!

Thank you Maddy – I have trouble making any consistent commitment to any particular team or project, due to illness, but am always willing to join in when needed – my strength is sorting out tangled-up, messy old trees where pruning shears are needed. Jeremy

Hi again Jeremy

I’m sorry to hear about your illness, but glad you can find some distraction sorting out the tangles. It can be very satisfying work. Thanks again for everything you can do, some of those tangles need a dirty great chainsaw lol,

Best regards,

Maddy

Hi Jeremy,

I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's six-monthly check-in with our project members. I haven't heard back from you. I hope you are well.

If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.

If we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.

Many thanks!

I am recently back and well again and am requesting to rejoin the OT in the hope to finish it this time.

I also found out recently, that I am 8th cousin 1x removed to Mike Christmas, my previous OT mentor. The odds on that occuring must be so small.

I am in contact with Susie Q (Potter 10870) today, who is willing to take on the task of polishing up my WT abilities in the OT

Regards, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.

As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.

Are you happy to stay in your current project teams? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks!

Hi Jeremy,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Lizzie, Amy, Joan

England Project Leaders

Hi Jeremy,

Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. I wanted to thank you for your work on English Profiles and particularly your work in the Orphan Trail.

These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the project leaders for everything you do.

Joan

Thanks Joan - I am floundering at the moment - very happy with Mike Christmas, less so with myself, I started off well, but have sincelost momentum as the number of profiles increaseed from one orphan (well known architect) to his extended family (about 50 profiles added). I will ask Mike to help me with the images and photos as there are many. Presently I am stuck on what to leave out of his biography, as it is too long really George Dance. Anyway, it will get done eventually, just finding the energy for the long haul is hard right now. Best regards, Jeremy Stroud.

Hi Jeremy,

I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the England Project Leaders and have yet to heard back from you. I hope you are well.

One of the requirements of membership in the England Project is that you respond to the six-monthly check-ins.

If I don’t hear from you in the next week or so I’ll assume you no longer wish to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to rejoin at any time via the G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

Susie :-)

Hi! You edited Austen-540 but didn't add your source. Could you please? Thanks!

Hi Jeremy as you have noticed, there are restrictions on WikiTree related to creating and editing pre-1500 profiles. These restrictions were imposed in recognition of the fact that pre-1500 profiles are both ancestors for many people and need knowledge of specialised primary sources.

Please don't circumvent these restrictions by creating profiles with a before 1500 birth or death date. If you want to work on pre-1500 profiles than please work towards gaining the pre-1500 badge yourself.

Hi, Jeremy. Thanks for the very useful Peckham wills. They applied to the early Reynolde or Reginald de Peckham d1407. Not the one who married a Colepepper and died in 1511. Reginald d1511 seems only to have married once. With your help it should be possible to sort this out.

Hi Jeremy

Could you please take a few moments to review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as this very handy list of sources which are considered "not quite good enough" before you add any more pre-1700 profiles without adequate sources? Please revisit Pre-1700 profiles already added

Thank you

Janet

Hi Jeremy. Thanks for the interest in John Hollands. Ancestry co is pretty useless these days but I have records from FindMyPast for both Mary Harstnet and Ann Chanteer/Chantler/Chauntler. There were several John Hollands which may also have caused some confusion. I had hoped to send these records in an email but I don't know how to get them to you in Wikitree..
