Biography
Johann Strauss the Elder was an Austrian composer of the Romantic period.
He was born in 1804 in Leopoldstadt, near Vienna, Austria.
He married Maria Anna Streim on 11 July 1825 in Lichtental. [1]
Johann Strauss had a mistress, Emilie Trampusch (Trampusch-2), starting around 1835, with whom he had 9 children.
He passed away in 1849. [2]
