Kate worked from the mid 1980s to 2009 in the software and computer industry. She likes history and the puzzle of geneology.
On her paternal line, her Stout ancestry takes her back to [[Stout-60] | Richard Stout] an early settler of Monmouth NJ. Her Stout ancestors moved to what is now West Virginia in the 1790's, and stayed there until the 1950s. Her paternal line also links her to the early founding families of Throgmorton and Ashton.
She has extensive research on this line, but is slowly integrating into WikiTree
On the maternal line, she has ancestors who emigrated from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Poughkeepsie NY in the 1840s. She would like to resolve which John Fenwick in Newcastle is her ancestor!
Actively trying to sort out the connections amongst these Irish immigrants.
