Biography
David Stoudmire is a part of US Black heritage.
David Stoudmire is a Military Veteran. Served in the United States Navy 1941-1994 attaining the rating of Steward 3rd class Asiatic–Pacific Campaign Medal with 3 bronze stars for service on the USS Portunus (AGP-4)
David was living at home when he enlisted in the US Navy on 6 August 1941, just 3 days after his 17th birthday. He served on several ships during WWII before his discharge on 23 November 1945.[2]
He died in 2006 and is buried in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.[3][4][5]
David's brother, Norvell Stoudmire, was a Tuskegee airman who was KIA in Italy March 31, 1944.
