Biography
Born William J. Stoffer. After the divorce of his parents, he lived for a time at the Farimount Children's Home in Stark County. In the 1900 census he is listed in that facility. He was married to Lettie Klein in Detroit, Michigan on December 15, 1919 and divorced on May 15, 1922 in Macomb, Michigan. Interestingly, he listed his father as Edwin Stoffer on the marriage record, however, that is in error as he was born prior to the marriage of Edwin Bartley and his mother Caroline in 1901.
Sometime in the 1920-1930 he changed his name to Edward J. Donan.
Buried in unknown location.
