Biography

Claude Hamilton Stills was born at Greene, Tennessee, January 1890^[1], son of an Unknown father and Laura F Stills. He died at Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware 30 Jan 1977^[2] and was buried at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, New Castle, Delaware.^[3]

Sometime between 1910 and 1916, Claude started using the surname Stills, dropping the ending 's' in Stills, for some unknown reason.

Claude married at Manhattan, New York, New York, 17 May 1916, Lillian Deckers^[4] born at Flushing, Queens, New York, 16 June 1890 and died at Marshallton, New Castle, Delaware, 25 November 1968, daughter of Jacob Deckers and Eleanor "Nelly" Byrne.
