Biography

Dick was born in Indiana; he was the son of the late Benjamin and Hazel Stiers and the husband of the late Pauline Stiers.

Dick worked for the CIA for 22 years and traveled all over the world. He was very active in various ministries and activities including the Kairos Prison Ministry at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church. While living in Naples Florida, he was active in First Presbyterian Church of Naples, Florida volunteering with the ad Litem program for children, and the Children's Illiteracy Program. In Immockly, Florida he volunteered feeding migrant farm workers and with Habitat for Humanity.

Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Anna Stiers; son, Douglas Stiers; daughters, Ann McLaughlin and Julia Violand; and six grandchildren.
