One of her favorite moments were times shared enjoying laughs and visits with her two sisters, Grace Townsend and Sadie (Allen) Price. Vera was predeceased by her brothers Gary and Donald Stewart. Vera will be forever cherished and remembered by her children; Sylvia (David) Lyons, Kevin (Carla), Ted (Brenda), Tony (Sandra), Barry (Ginette) & Tanya (Ronaldo) Lopez. She dearly loved her grandchildren; Nicky (Tonia), Shawn (Heather), Megan (Jody), Mike (Jenna), Chantel (Ben), Cheyenne (John), Shania (Jordan), Kathya (Frankie), Christopher, Kristen and chosen grandchildren Randy (Brenda), Lisa (Danny), Krista. She showed her love by turning a blind eye to the sugar bowl; always having their favorite goodies on hand and often offering dessert first. Her 12 great grandchildren brought her great joy and were often spoiled in the same way. Vera was blessed with a wonderful group of friends and family who will dearly miss their visits. Her home was known for being the gathering place; whether it be 6 AM coffee visits each morning or evening visits with friends and family for snacks, laughs, singing, piano and guitar playing. Vera loved God with all her heart and His love shined through her in the love, grace and kindness that she showed others. Faithfully you would hear the creak of the rocker in the early morning hours as she read her bible, prayed, sang and worshiped. She has finished her journey and is home, leaving an amazing legacy for those who knew and loved her.[2]
