Biography

Sophronia Elvira Stetson was a daughter of Charles Stetson and Juliette (Smith) Stetson, born in Amherst, Massachusetts, on 13 June 1881, about two months after the death of her father.

Education

At the time of the 1900 United States Census, Sophronia was a student at Northfield School in Northfield, Massachusetts.

Marriage

Sophronia E. Stetson married Edmund C. Keyes in 1903. They registered their intentions of marriage in Springfield, Massachusetts, on 25 April 1903. She was 21 years old and born in Amherst, the daughter of Charles Stetson and Juliaette (Smith) Stetson. He was 22 years old and born in Springfield, the son of Elbert M. Keyes and Susan (Capen) Keyes. Both were residents of Springfield; Edmund was working as an armorer.^[1]
