Biography
Joyce was the eldest daughter of George Vernon Stephen and Carlotta Lempriere.[1]
She was born on 20 February 1898 in Caulfield, Victoria.[1] Her birth was reported in the Argus newspaper as follows: "STEPHEN.—On the 20th February, the wife of George Vernon Stephen, Warragul, Gippsland—a daughter."[2]
She married Douglas Arthur Thomas in 1920 in Victoria.[3] He died in 1931, aged 41, in Surrey Hills, Victoria.[4]
She married, second, Robert Evelyn Henderson Arundel in 1932 in Victoria.[5]
She passed away in 1983, aged 84, in Apollo Bay, Victoria.[6]
