Biography
Udo Stegen migrated from Germany to Western Australia.
Udo Stegen was born in Germany in 1945. He is the son of Rudolf Stegen and Else Ostermann. He studied at the University of Hamburg and graduated in 1969 with a diploma in mathematics. He has two sons from his first marriage. From the mid-1970s, he worked in Frankfurt. Udo and his second wife moved to Western Australia in 1983. After living in Bunbury and Karratha, they moved to Perth where he worked as an IT manager for The West Australian. He also founded Rettmer Trading Trust[1], and developed software tools for monitoring the trading of shares.[2] He passed away in 2018, and his remains were cremated at Karrakatta Cemetery and Crematorium.[3]
