Biography
Ella appeared as Ellen M. Stitim in the 1880 Kaufman Co. TX household of her maternal grandfather, William Denman (shown as Drumman). Her mother Harriet was also part of the household.
Direct evidence has not yet been found to prove that her father as identified in her death certificate is the same person as Albert H. Statham, son of George S.
She married George Wesley Watson in Hunt Co. TX on 5 Dec 1897. George appeared as G.W. Watson in their marriage record but his full name is given in his death record (Texas Death Index, 1903-2000, Ancestry.com). Their known children included two daughters, Mattie B. and Jessie Lee Watson, and a son, Clarence Dee Watson.
