Biography

John R. Staten, son of Charles Staton and Rhue (Pool) Staton, was born about 1862 in Ohio.[1] He and his mother appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 in the home of his grandmother at Franklin, Brown County, Ohio.[2]

He married Josephine Miller about 1889.[1]

He was a farmer when he and Josephine appeared on the census of 12 June 1900 at Union, Brown County, Ohio. His mother was living with them.[3] He was a farmer when he and Josephine appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 in the home of her parents at Jackson Township, Brown County, Ohio.[4]

John died in 1945 probably in Ohio and was buried at Ashridge Cemetery, Ash Ridge, Brown County, Ohio. His memorial has a photo and links to those of family members.[1]
