My name is Amy and I am a co-Leader of the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for replying. I am trying to avoid duplicates, especially since this is a 16th-century person; there aren't so many of them documented as we would like! I'll create a new profile but I'll tag your William Rutherford in case we need to merge them at a later date. Let me know if you find any new data on yours. Thanks!
Hi James, I appreciate your message. Very interesting info re Clan Rutherford (not one I'm familiar with) I'll see what profiles etc I can link to the page.
Take care and come back to the project anytime. Maria
Scottish Clan Project. I'm trying to improve communications by ensuring members of the Scottish Clans Project have full access to its Google Group. I've not been able to identify you from the list of members of the group.
The google group is an open group so you can sign yourself in at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitree-scottish-clan-project Any problems with this let me know and I can add you direct. If you do not want to be a member of the google group can you let me know. Thanks Maria
To upload an image or photo, it needs to be saved to your computer first as jpg gif or other similar format.
You then go to either the edit page or photo page and scroll down to where it says upload a photo/image.
Select that, then browse which will take you to your computer files where you select the image to upload.
Hit upload, and then it will link to the profile as ex James Stark Image 1. Rename it, there are fields to add comments, place/date/sources. Also, once uploaded to Wiki Tree, you can link other profiles to that image by adding their profile ID in the field provided (ID ec Starks-133).

Also, at the bottom of that page it shows how to "code" it so an image can be placed in the BIO section of a profile. Hope this helps. Nae
The clan project is a group of people who have Scottish ancestry and what our goals are is to document that so that others can use it as a resource for their trees. We post the template for the clan project on the profile/project protect it/merge duplicates/and basically watch over that line...maintain it. And we have a lot of fun. You are a member (you have the badge) and you should receive the newsletters? Are you on the google group where any and everything is discussed?
In your BIO below where you retired in 2008 you have the "category:Scottish Clans Project". It needs to be in between double right and double left brackets [[ ]] for it to link to the page. I will add you to the project page with the info you gave me. Please review. Thanks! Nae
Just checking in. Nice profile. Do you have a profile and related clan that you would like to feature on the project page? We'd love to have one.
Also, I noticed your "category" below your BIO. For it to link to the page it needs to be enclosed by double [[ ]]. It's a coding thing. Same with the European group...needs to be double brackets and in your BIO section. I am a mentor too, so always teaching. :) Let me know about the profile. Nae
Hi James i have awarded you the Scottish Clan Badge thank you for joining the project let me know what clans you are working on and i will find the Tartan for the Scottish Clan Template ,if you go to edit on your profile and scroll down until you see edit text add your Categories there above your bio Terry
I have been an active researcher in the Starks family of Kentucky for over twelve years. This also includes the Rutherford family of Kentucky and Scotland.
