My primary interest is in tracing the Stanley side of my family. This side of my family lived near the town of Henderson, Jefferson County, New York for a number of generations. Family farm was located to the west of Henderson and was a dairy farm where my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were raised and my great-great-grandfather acquired (by marriage) in the early 1800's.
My focus currently is on determining the parents of William B. Stanley (my great-great-grandfather). He was born in Jefferson County in 1817 and died in Henderson, New York in 1895.
From there, the water is murky, but I believe he may be the son of a Jedediah Stanley (b: 1770 in Jaffrey, N.H.). William B. may have also been the brother of a Frederick Swan Stanley (a separate line I have been researching).
I'm always seeking help and anyone with information on the following Jefferson County, New York family names are welcome to contact me through wikitree.
Family Names of interest to me are: Stanley Champlin Halladay McIntosh Hickox
Places of interest include: Henderson, New York Adams, New York Rutland, New York Rindge, New Hampshire Rutland, Vermont Jaffrey, New Hampshire

So far so good, haven't made much progress on linking the various Stanley lines I have been researching yet, but a link to another may be just around the corner as I add these sets of data. Regards, Bill
