William Stanley was born in Yorkshire, England.

Marriage

On 17 October 1844, Mary Guest and William Stanley married, by banns, in the parish church of Arksey, Yorkshire. Both William and Mary were recorded as servants, of full age. For both it was a first marriage. Their place of residence was recorded as Bentley. Mary's father is listed as Richard Guest, a labourer. Neither Mary nor William signed their names. Witnesses were Joseph Wrigley and William ?Wullson?. [1][2]
