Walter was born in 1929. He was the son of Belton Stanley and Bessie Nabors. He passed away in 2007.

From Jake's Find a Grave Memorial page. "Jake Stanley was a great man, and a hard worker. He married Bonnie Farley in May of 1967, and was a loving husband. He & Bonnie ran one of the most popular stores in Bessemer, Alabama, and they ran it together for many years. He was loved by everyone in the community. He attended Birmingham Southern College. He was the son of Belton Stanley and Bessie Nabors Stanley." [3]
