Maude was born in 1879^[1]. She was the daughter of Montague STANLEY and Maud Annie Kirkpatrick CRAIG.

A marriage of interest to a large circle of friends took place on December 20 in the Indooroopilly Church. The bridegroom was Mr. Francis Goode Cooke (eldest son of the late Mr. W. D. Cooke, railway surveyor) and the bride Miss Maude Annie Kirkpatrick Stanley (second daughter of Mr. Montague Henry Stanley). Canon Jones, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful white silk gown, with an overdress of ninon. Miss Sylvia Dixon acted as bridesmaid, and was becomingly attired in white muslin. Mr. Walter U. P. Cooke (brother of the bridegroom) acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception and wedding breakfast were held at the residence of the bride's uncle, Mr. W. Craig, Closeburn, Taringa. Mr. and Mrs. Cooke left by the mail train for Toowoomba, for the honeymoon. The presents were numerous, and included several cheques, and a beautifully hand painted dessert service by Miss Gwen M. Stanley, a sister of the bride.

She passed away in 1972 and was buried at the Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium^[4].
