Biography

Mary was born on 5 Sep 1790 at Sandigate in the parish of Harewood and was baptised at All Saints Church, Harewood on 10 Oct 1790 [1][2]. She died at Ribston in the parish of Spofforth on 7 May 1818 [3] and was buried in the churchyard of All Saints Church, Spofforth on 10 May 1818 [4].

A licence was issued on 1 Jul 1816 [5] for the marriage of "Peter Ridsdale (aged 30 years) [of Kearby] & Mary Stables (aged 21 years) [of Kirkby Overblow]" to take place at All Saints Church, Kirkby Overblow

The marriage took place 2 Jul 1816 at All Saints Church, Kirkby Overblow [6][7] between "Peter Ridsdale (bach. - farmer) & Mary Stables (spnr.) [both of Kirkby Overblow]" by "Licence", officiated by "John Metcalfe - curate of Kirkby Overblow" and witnessed by "James Harland, William Ridsdale, Ralph Snowball".
