Biography

Catherine Anna Sprong was born in 1828 in Indiana.^[1][2] She was the daughter of James Sprong and Sarah Hall.

Catherine married George W. P. Green on July 16, 1846 in Hamilton County, Ohio.^[3] George and Catherine had 9 children (although she states 7 in the 1900 census)^[4]: Alphonso, Antoinette, Laura Bell, Ada, Emma, Jesse F, Rhoda (or Anna B.), and Ella Green.^[1][2][5] She, George, and children lived in Cincinnati^[1] and then in Sycamore Township in Hamilton County, Ohio.^[2][5][6] After George died, Catherine lived with her daughters, Annie G. Channell and Ella Green in Denver, Colorado.^[4]
