John Spring was born around 1795 in Brigg, Lincolnshire, England, the son of Jane Spring (nee Wright) and John Spring.^[1][2][3][4]

John was christened on 27 November 1896 in Wraby, Lincoln.^[1]

He married Hannah Wilson on 9 August 1815 in Wraby.^[2][3][4][5] Their children were:
