Biography

Levena Viney Spring was born on May 23, 1894 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma Territory. In the 1900 census she (age 6) was enumerated as the daughter of David J Spring in Township 3, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory.^[1] She was enumerated in a non-population schedule (Choctaw) on 16 Jan 1903 in Oklahoma, United States.^[2] In the 1910 census she (age 15) was enumerated as the single daughter of David J Springer in Buffalo, Latimer, Oklahoma, United States.^[3] Levena (16) married William Estes McGuire (19) (born on January 25, 1891 in Ussery, Garland County, Arkansas, United States; son of Granville Munk McGuire and Martha Ann (Matlock) McGuire) on August 22, 1910 in Sebastian County, Arkansas.^[4] They had five children together:
