Biography

John Spring was born around 1812 in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire, the son of Sarah Jane Green and Samuel Spring.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

He married Elizabeth Phear on 6 October 1833 in Swavesey.^[6] Their children were:

• Elizabeth Spring (1834?–?)
• Susan Spring (1836?–?)

Elizabeth died sometime before the 1851 Census, because in that census return John was recorded a widower.^[3]

Sometime between 1851 and the 1861 Census, John remarried to Mary Ann.^[4] Their children were:

• Samuel J. Spring (1856?–?)^[4][5]
• Philip S. Spring (1862?–?)^[5]
• John Spring (1865?–?)^[5]
