Biography

Leicester Russell Spring was born on 2 September 1908 in Waipawa, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, the son of Lily Maud Spring and Russell Walter Spring.[1][2][3]

He played for the Auckland cricket team in the mid-1930s.[3]

He was the owner of successful racing horse 'Rising Fast'.[4][5][6]

He married Doris Guest Kersel in 1931 in New Zealand.[7] Their son was:

Doris died in 1957.[8]

Leicester died on 31 May 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand.[2][3]
