Laura E Spencer was born in 1847^[1][2][3][4] or on 17 August 1851^[5][6][7][8] in Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio, United States^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]}. She was the daughter of Daniel F Spencer^[1][6][7] and Martha Jane Pritchard^[1][2][6][7].

POSSIBLE CONFLICT: The 1900 census and MT death records indicate she was born in August 1851 while other records all seem to indicate she was born in 1847. Is it possible that records for two different people have been mixed together? A trivial obituary viewed on MyHeritage.com indicates a Laura T Howey (note inconsistent middle initial) died on 22 Sept 1911 in Helena at age 61 which would be consistent with the August 1851 date of birth. FindAGrave tombstone photograph shows 1847.
