Lorn put his wife into a convalescent home in 1930,^[6] Oakland County, Michigan, because she had a stroke that paralyzed the right side of her body.

Lorn divorced his wife Theodora Lewis Spencer in 1935,^[7] so he could be single again and find a new wife to take care of his children.

Lorn married his new wife Vera Hillsinger on April 3, 1940,^[8] in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan, but unfortunately, she didn't care for her stepchildren but loved her pet dogs.

In 1940^[9] Lorn became furniture reupholster with his wife Vera. He passed away in 1980^[10]
