Biography

Mary Ann Spencer was born in 1814. She was the daughter of David Spencer and Leah Pickering.

She married William Kenworthy, as his second wife, in 1844 or 1845.^[1][2] They had two children (he had two children Sarah and James, still living from his first wife, Asenath Patterson):

They are recorded in 1850 in Henry, Indiana and in 1860 in Jasper, Iowa.

1860 Census: Wm Kenworthy, 44, farmer b. PA; Mary A, 45 b. OH; Phebe 14, Amos 11. (Previous record shows Sarah 20, married to B.L. Haines. Following record shows Isaac Kenworthy 26, b. OH with his wife Abagail and young children.)

Mary Ann died in 1864. Her grave is in Sugar Creek/ Friends Cemetery, Searsboro, Poweshiek, IA.
