Biography
Edward was born in 1825 which was obtained from his merchant seaman records.
In 1851 he married Elizabeth Jane Burman.[1]
In 1854 he was a merchant seaman.[2][3]
Between 1861 and 1871 he lived with his wife in Portsea, Hampshire, England as a beer house keeper.[4][5]
He passed away in 1880.[6]
His probate reads, Spearing Edward. Personal Estate under £100. 17 November. The Will of Edward Spearing late of the British Flag Beerhouse Highland Road Eastney Southsea Portsea in the County of Southampton Beer Retailer who died 14 September 1880 at the British Flag was proved at Winchester by Elizabeth Jane Spearing of Highland Road Widow the Relict the Sole Executrix.[7]
