Biography

John Sparger Sr is the descendant of Palatine migrants.

Founder of the Sparger and Spargur families. Moved to Highland County, Ohio in 1833 from Surry County, NC following the death of his wife.[1]

John W. Sparger, Son of John (I) Wolfensbarger & Hannah Sumner. Born 17 Aug 1754 in Lebanon, PA. Died 17 Nov 1840 in Highland Co., Ohio. Buried in Upper Quaker Cem. Springtown,next to second son.[2]

He married Christina Frye, daughter of Johann Valentine Frye & Anna Maria Barbara Binckele, 1777 in Friedberg, Surry Co., NC. Born 22 Nov 1759 in Heidelberg, Lancaster Co., PA. Died 1830 in Surry Co., NC. Buried in Taylor Graveyard (cem.) Bower's Spring, Surry Co., NC. [2] They had the following children:
