Sweden Project relies on the project members to contribute with corrections and improvements in order to make the Swedish profiles look their best. If we could all help out, even a little bit, once in a while, it would help improve WikiTree.

The WikiTree suggestion reports are updated once a week, usually at the beginning of the week.

They are created as part of the Data Doctors Project and if you find you enjoy this kind of work you should perhaps check out Space:Data_Doctors_Project_Video_Collection and also consider joining the project (click the Data Doctor link above) as well as the Nordic Project Data Doctors Team.

However, in order to work on your own personal suggestion list, you do not need to be a Data Doctor. You will find the suggestion list for the profiles you manage in the menu “My WikiTree” at the top of the page (just right of the middle of the page). Click the menu and choose “ Suggestions” from the dropdown menu.

If you have any suggestions, the column to the left will explain what is wrong and there is also a small green dot with a question mark that you can click to get to the help page for that specific error. The colour of the left-hand column will indicate the difficulty of the error.

On the right-hand side is a grey button labeled "Status" which will open a new window when clicked. Once you have investigated, and hopefully corrected the profile, you can use the radio buttons to "Select a status" so others will know what has been done. Sometimes a Swedish name can be a trigger, for example, the female name Maj is sometimes interpreted as short for "Major" which should not be in the name field at all. Then the "False suggestion" radio button should be used, with an explanatory comment why it is indeed a false suggestion. Click the "Update status" button at the bottom and you are done with the editing of that specific error/suggestion.

För att kunna arbeta med din egen personliga "suggestion list" behöver du dock inte vara data-doktor. Du hittar din egen lista för de profiler du hanterar i menyn "My WikiTree" högst upp på sidan (precis till höger av mitten av sidan). Klicka på menyn och välj "Suggestions" från rullgardinsmenyn.

Om du har några suggestions kommer kolumnen till vänster att förklara vad som är fel och det finns också en liten grön prick med ett frågetecken som du kan klicka för att komma till hjälpsidan för det specifika felet. Färgen på den vänstra kolumnen indikerar svårigheten.

På höger sida finns en grå knapp märkt "Status" som öppnar ett nytt fönster när du klickar på den. När du har undersökt, och förhoppningsvis korrigerat profilen, kan du använda alternativknapparna/radio buttons för att "Select a status" så att andra vet vad som har gjorts. Ibland kan ett svenskt namn vara en utlösare, till exempel tolkas kvinnonamnet Maj ibland som förkortnng för "Major" som inte alls ska finnas i namnfältet. Du kanknappen för alternativet "False suggestion" användas, gärna med en förklarande kommentar i fältet om varför det verkligen är ett falskt förslag. Klicka på knappen "Uppdate status" längst ner och du är klar med redigeringen av det specifika felet/förslaget.
