• The National Archives of Overseas (ANOM) - Collection of the archives of the French colonial expansion. Very handy but unindexed and records need to be searched for manually. See [ANOM - Archives Nationales.]
• Society of the History of Mauritius - [SOC Histoire Maurice] February 10, 1938 Auguste Toussaint, Director of the Archives, brought together a few people with the aim of creating a society dedicated to the history of Mauritius. At the instigation of this dynamic founder, the meetings followed regularly and in ten weeks the Society of History of Mauritius was on foot. The statutes were written. The first general assembly, which brought together 14 members, was held at the Curepipe City Hall on October 30, 1938.
