Biography

European Aristocracy
General Robert Somerset was a member of the aristocracy in England.

He was the son of Henry Somerset, 5th Duke of Beaufort and Elizabeth Boscawen.[1]He was born at Caldicot Castle, Monmouthshire, Wales on the 19 December 1776. He married Hon. Louisa Augusta Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 2nd Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Frances Clack, on 17 October 1805 at Powderham, Devon, England.[2]He died on the 1st September 1842 at age 65 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.[3]
