Polly (Snipes) Culbreth was born in North Carolina.

Polly Etta Snipes was born 16 Jul 1883 in Wayne County, North Carolina, the daughter of Elijah T Snipes and Vinetta Mozingo.[1]

The earliest record located thus far is the 1900 census, which shows her with her parents and seven siblings in Goldsboro Township, Wayne, North Carolina.[2]

That same year on 22 Jul, at Boon Hill Township, (Princeton) Johnston County, North Carolina, she married H Marvin Culbreth.[3] An additional record shows her parents as E T and N V Snipes, and her husband's parents as J B and Julia Culbreth.[4] On both records, the surname is spelled/transcribed incorrectly.

She died 7 Dec 1978, widowed, aged 95, in Goldsboro, Wayne, North Carolina and was buried at Princeton Cemetery.[1]
